Rumour Has It
2012-03-03

Flagrant use of stereotypes: Not for the faint-hearted or the squeamish feminist. Sense of humour essential. http://www.kendalcalling.co.uk/artists/view/rumour-has-it

Jack Hartley
2012-03-10

You can't help but like this guy. His music makes you smile. You can hear the influences of the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Jose Gonzalez and Bob Marley, but Jack produces a sound that is very much his own and is washed down perfectly with a pint of ale. Indian Postal Service
2012-03-17

In the early days of the band when we were stranger, Mike would play 15 minute nose flute solos whilst Rich danced earnestly and gurned, Amy would mostly be consumed in a cacophony of laughter and Wayne would grow his moustaches with a look of pomposity. Indeed, this was so through the Stilton Sessions to the Dog Sick Sessions and beyond until we began experimenting with classic rock and roll instrumentation... Wayne found an acoustic guitar down the side of the couch whilst looking for poetry, a bass fell through the ceiling into to Rich's lime pickle, Amy realised she'd been carrying a djembe around in her handbag all along and Mike invented the electric guitar after one of his solos actually sent him back in time...thus the Indian Postal Service was born . Since those heady days we’ve grown into a veritable family with the introduction of two more sonic sisters, Olivia and Kat on vocals, whipping the music into a whole new dimension. We have recently finished recording our 3 track demo E.P 'Tales from the Stars Abode', available now by contacting us.

Rory Connor
2012-03-24

Rory Connor's voice has been said to have a likeness to John Martyn and Damien Rice and has received such quotes as ‘’He has this ability to connect with you through his music. It’s restful, but it can challenge you with the depth of his voice and lyrics.”With a set that ranged through the emotional spectrum, Connor’s voice swung between feather light and a soaring crescendo, sweeping up the crowd into dreamtime as they sipped a little Australian Wine’’ and ‘’Rory’s vocals are powerfully emotive, distinctively his own. Rory’s music is drawn from the depths of his passionate soul-well. Look out for Rory and go and see him, either as a solo performer, or with his band…you won’t be disappointed!’’ Have a listen at http://www.myspace.com/roryconnormusic

Katus
2012-03-31

“This is one of the most original and captivating records I’ve heard in a long time. Katus should be nurtured and encouraged to grow! She is an important and necessary compound for a genre so often overlooked and dismissed by today’s predominantly rock n roll environment! This is folk music with its creative spirit intact. A genuine and creative medium of story telling.” Alan Baille, Music News Scotland

Phil Saunders
2012-04-14

Busking, playing at jam nights and gigging meant nobody was safe. Initially playing in duos with 2 different virtuoso guitar slingers to do the twiddly bits, I decided to get a harmonica stand go it alone and double the wages. I have developed a fingerpicking style of guitar playing because I often drop plectrums and can’t be bothered to pick them up ….
